Flower Committee

The Flower Committee arranges flowers each Sunday, except during Advent and Lent, on the retable behind the altar in the Nave. In addition, chapel flowers are provided for the 8:00 AM Sunday worshipers.Each Sunday, except during Advent and Lent, flowers are placed on the retable (behind the altar). In addition, chapel flowers are provided for the 8:00 AM Sunday worshipers. “Memorial” flowers or flowers given “in thanksgiving”, may be given at any time, except during Advent and Lent.

The name of the person(s) to be remembered is placed on the flower chart, in the Sunday bulletin, and on the prayer list for that particular Sunday. Many families and friends give Christmas, Easter, and Thanksgiving memorial and/or thanksgiving flowers. The names are listed in the service bulletin. The average donation is approximately $75.00 per person being remembered. Christmas, Easter, and Thanksgiving decorations are created by the flower committee and willing volunteers. When requested, the committee will arrange wedding, baptism, and funeral flowers. Individual members of the committee are responsible for altar flowers on a regularly scheduled Sunday each month. New members are always welcome!
